It sure would be nice to have Ghaifan back to stop the fb dive this week! Apparently this incident is being kept tighter than the Mueller investigation! It is clear given the alleged offenses in the citations, that no one got touched, no one got knocked on their butt. In the earlier BYU discussion, it was reminded that Nick Emery got a one game suspension for pole axing a Utah player with sucker punch. Not that anyone is going to accuse BYU of being ethical, but one basketball game suspension for slugging a guy.
Still, unless the current offense is particularly egregious, shouldn't a two game suspension be in the ball park. I mean the DUI offenders have had a one game suspension. What is UW's procedure for dealing with these things? Is their no consideration given to a man's constitutional rights, that being innocent until proven guilty? Is it like I suggested last week that they are "bank rolling" games this season, so that there are no game suspensions next season? Is there some kind of PC issue at play? Is he gone for good?
