According to this article the numbers may surprise you. G5 teams are bringing in more P4 transfer than P4 teams are bringing in G5 players. For example, MW schools brought in 62 P4 players while losing only 47 to P4 schools. However, what this article doesn't really flesh out is that when a G5 loses a player to a P4 school it is generally one of their Top 5 players which can have a huge impact on that team while when a P4 loses a player to a G5 it is generally a guy looking for more playing time and has less of an impact on that team.
