Hope the public is starting to see through. Check out this article: https://www.cnbc.com/2020/07/28/eve...-dealing-with-this-forever-virus-experts.html

It appears to be an ongoing movement by some to prolong these continued cautions against virus well into next year. Back to "normal life" maybe down the road another year or so (maybe longer), according to some "experts". They also look to be preparing the public for a "New Normal".

Remember, when this was just about flattening the curve and preparing to stabilize hospitalizations? Well, there seems to be additional caveats added and the goalposts keep moving and will continued to be moved.

According to this article, it appears to be no definite end in sight.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE NBC ARTICLE:
  • Even with a vaccine, the country will be fighting the pandemic for at least another year, says former CDC head Thomas Frieden.
  • Only 7% to 9% of the U.S. population are estimated to have been infected with Covid-19, and herd immunity requires 50% to 70% of the nation to contract the disease.
  • Even with a vaccine, “We will be dealing with this forever,” says University of Minnesota infectious disease expert Michael Osterholm.
"Individuals will need to understand that going back to work means making significant trade-offs in their personal lives."

“Even with a vaccine, there is no going back to normal anytime soon,”
