The Athletic is reporting the AAC (American) conference will name new members in a matter of weeks- not months and that sources are saying the AAC is looking at Boise, SDSU, AF and the Sheep with the 2 Colorado schools believed to be more interested in leaving than BSU and SDSU. AF makes sense only because Navy is in the AAC (giving those 2 schools yearly rivalry games in sports other than FB) and because- like Navy - AF is much more of a national team than just a Rocky Mtn team. The article also says that Boise is in the sights of the Big 12 if that conference expands again so why pay 2 exit fees rather than 1. The MW athletic directors met earlier this week and discussed what happens if 1 or more teams leave the MW.
