DQ James & Jamaree Farell. TT had a couple penalties that came back and helped the Cowboy cause. The 15yd penalty late hit out of bounds
on Peasley in the 4Q and another Sam Scott big run led to another Wyo FG to give WYO its first lead at 20-17.

What a game: To Sam Scott. Great vision-maybe that LB pedi gree gives him a different perspective..a couple great runs. See him being the rotation #3 once McNeeley and Waylee are back. Sam Scott's 3 year 4th down run in the 3Q extended the drive and then in that drive his 22 yd run ties the game at 17. Plus his two point run for the win. My player of the game.

Rook Brown's INT was a momentum changer DQ James first run in the 2Q changed the flow as well..

The 3rd play of the game sure looked like helmut to helmut on Peasley

TE- John Michael Gyllenborg..came out of the blue during the game. Of course we all know about Trenton Welch

Concussion concerns- Andrew Peasley took some hits.. took 6-7 shots.

The first pass TD to Caleb Driscoll with a big boy run formation..great deception with the formation.

Stripe outs: Not sure if they are really working very well.

The game winning Blitz by TT package TD caused a 3 yard WYO loss in the 2Q not as productive in the 2OT.

Depth of the DLine. Seeing the wholesale substitutions sure made you feel that TT would be the first wear out..which they did. A parent of one of the TT players told me in Cheyenne at the Flying
J that their son was gassed!

TT had 2 starting Defensive backs from MWC teams - Fresno and San Diego State. Also remember Tim DeReuyter is the prior HC at Fresno state and current TT coordinator.

What about the fire drill at the end of the first half. First FG was good.clock not reset 2d attempt..not so good. Bad TT carma. Later in the 4Q he bonked it off the north goal post on a 50yd FG attempt...you had to have the feeling that maybe this would be a special Cowboy night! I did.

Fresno beats Purdue!

Any concern about the long trips home by TT fans...not me! They were not happy, but better them than us, by a big margin. They will get over it..here is to TT having a good year.

Sounds like that sportswriter knew what he was talking about when he made that statement about Wyoming before the season! I listened to the post game press conferences, and Peasley made the remark that there will be the game where the offense is off and the defense picks you up! I just about choked on that one, the fact is where the defense has to save the offenses backside happens every week it seems. I can not remember the last time that the offense clearly carried its own weight and then carried the defense as well.

Bohl said that Peasley was better in practice during the week and that is why he got the start. I find that hard to believe. I feel that coaches sometimes will make statements to cover for and to support other decisions that they make like starting Andrew Peasley this week when he clearly was not a 100%. Peasley obviously had a very poor game, held the ball way too long on a number of occasions and was off on the accuracy of his throws most likely due to the effect of his injury. Just from knowing Bohl as much as we are allowed to get to know him, Bohl refuses to bench a guy during an injury and will bend over backwards to give a guy many extra chances if he is a player that Bohl likes.

Not sure if it’s just on the same dates in Vegas or actually doing media days together? Seems odd if it’s the latter.

3-1 sure would feel better than 2-2. At 3-1 that would put us at what most of us hoped for after OC play..Dang we got sorta close to maybe looking at 4-0 for OC, but I like what we witnessed on Saturday night.

Waylee make a big difference. Not sure if Sam, was hurt or making him pay more than the others for his fumble, but I certainly like him as #2 . TE stable is strong and here is to a Cowboy Win. The Appys run out of steam after a long cross country trip and staying the night before in FOCO.

A win on Saturday night and we get past NM --things are looking good for a big matchup vs Fresno State.

I do believe in the Bill Parcells saying. However, we could be the worst 3-1 team in the country. Cowboys are very lucky to not be staring down a 1-3 record heading into the conference slate. Right now I would say we are about the fifth or sixth best team in the conference: Fresno State, Air Force, Boise State, UNLV, and then either Wyoming or San Diego State.

This Little League Coach will help out the Old Bald Coach with the offense. Here goes: go strictly with 12 personnel with Welsh and Gyllenborg on the field at all times. Boddie and Weiland as your outside WRs and Asante in the slot. If the need arises to go 4 wide Welch can go in the slot to work the middle. Waylee needs to be the primary back (obviously). I would move Scott to fullback/Hback and backup behind Waylee. DQ James would move to WR. I would still run the pro-style, power run game but I would use play action a lot more. And the big one, the horse is out of the barn, I would go with Svoboda from here on out. Right now his floor is as high as Peasley's and I think there would be less pressure on Peasley coming off the bench.

Peasley is a tough cookie but it's pretty clear his arm isn't right yet. He's not the same guy who started against the Red Raiders.

App State has a tough defense. I'm not criticizing AP's effort or toughness.

Ian, do you know when they will announce the Fresno State game time? I know a lot depends on TV.

Got a crazy couple of days around that game and I am trying to make it work to be there.

Think Peasley wasn’t ready physically to start today and wasn’t right mentally to play tonight. Think he’s concerned about Svobodas performance against Texas (rightfully so) but he should have been pulled at the half. Held too long in the pocket and instead of throwing the ball away, he tried to make something happen with his feet. I realize Peasley is the senior QB but he was flat out not ready to play tonight.

The tight ends were being jammed at the line of scrimmage and they have to fight through that and catch the dang ball!

Clearly not the offense that we’ve seen so far this year and that includes the Texas game!

I really do not understand this offensive coaching staff. After Sam Scott saves our bacon against Texas Tech he has disappeared the last two games against Texas and ASU! I understand Waylee being in there, but who gives Waylee a breather? DQ James! After the OL plays well against Texas, against ASU they act like they couldn't hold out the sisters-of-the-poor tonight! Our play calling is rarely creative, and our passing game has gone. Peasley is a truly gritty QB and he controls the game pretty well, but tonight he was getting sacked and pushed out of the pocket and getting hit and his passing was off! Maybe it should be time to put Svoboda in who actually has a healthy arm! Now that Bohl has Waylee in the line-up, he almost appears to have forgotten why he got Boddie and Asante. I know the Pokes threw one long pass Asante's way and an end around with Boddie, but these guys have speed! Use them!

I don't think that Bohl knows how to win going away! He doesn't want to pile it up on any coach so if we ever get ahead he pulls the reins back and we lose our momentum (how many times have we seen this over the last 10 years?). Bohl is sure nice to the visiting coaches, but he doesn't mind putting his team in a bind because of his conservative play calling. Tonight, there was nothing that was really clicking on the offense other than Waylee, our passing game is pathetic...no problem!

This is Peasley's line for the night! One of the most pathetic passing games in the modern era of Wyoming football history I would argue, but just another pathetic night of Wyoming passing offense under Bohl.

I am sure Bohl will make excuses for how utterly PATHETIC we are in our passing game, but would he make the same excuse if we were this pathetic in our run game? No, he would be pissed, but with the passing game, he will just give ASU all the credit as the excuse!

To the players. Our coach deserves no credit. He should have left 9 years ago. His offense is 70 years behind the times.

OK, that is as ugly of a win that I can remember. However a win is a win.

Way to many mistakes and the Cowboys have a lot to work on.

Looks like the Puffs are not likely the best team on the front range after all. Closer to the team that got beat up by the lambs than the team the beat TCU. Not a surprise after watching them last week. Maybe young Mr. Sanders ought to hold off buying the Rolls Royce.
