I have often heard the statement that in the "major Sports" Football and Men's and Women's BBall Burman has had zero MWC Championships. SO what is viewed as a championship?
  1. 1st at the end of the regular season? If that is the measure then UW has one Football championship when we hosted the MWC Championship in Josh Allen's Sophomore year.
  2. The winner of the MWC Championship game/tournament? If that is the measure then we have both a men's and a women's BBall championship,
  3. Win both the regular season and the MWC Championship game/tournament. If that is the measure then we have zero.

For what it's worth, GROK says we have one,
The exact number of Mountain West Conference (MWC) championships won by the Wyoming women's basketball team is not fully specified in the available information. However, it is confirmed that they won the MWC tournament championship in 2021, indicating at least one championship. The Mountain West Conference, established in 1999, recognizes both regular-season and tournament champions, but when people refer to "championships" in college basketball, they typically mean tournament titles, as these grant the automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Without comprehensive data on all years since 1999, I cannot confirm additional tournament or regular-season titles Wyoming may have won.
For the most accurate and up-to-date total, including both tournament and regular-season championships, I recommend checking the official Mountain West Conference website (www.themw.com) or the University of Wyoming Athletics website (www.gowyo.com). As of the available information, the Wyoming women's basketball team has won at least 1 MWC championship.
