Utah State is ranked in hoops after losing their HC. Some how they managed to keep the core of their roster except for the MSU kids that followed the coach or graduated and went out and did a national search to bring in another big time coach. AND I am old enough to remember when we played Utah State in football and absolutely destroyed them. They were a laughing stock. And now they have passed us up. They have won football championships recently and are a perennial league contender in hoops.
We shouldnt worry about comparing ourselves to Boise or even CSEWE, I think the closer example is Utah State. While they have a much bigger recruiting area in their local area, they also have much more competition in-state with the Utes, BYU and some to extent Utah Valley. We need to ask ourselves, what are they doing that we are not?
