and I have been following the Pokes since 1976...!
We get about 1 to 2 minute snippet interviews with coach Bohl on most days that there is a practice, and every once in a while we get a slick little 1 minute video put out by the UW SID, and oh yes, don't forget the special interest stories on select players. This must be a really easy fall camp for the sports writers, because all they have to do is go to the acouple minute press conference in the day and then post it on-line and they are done! We have no idea what type of competitions are taking place on the team, how the team as a whole came out of Coach Dennison's training programs in the offseason and all of the things that go along with it, or any of the other stories that go along with a team like the walk-ons...oh yes, what is happening there...anyone's guess is as good as another's. As a die hard Poke fan it sure does make it hard to get revved up for Poke football when it is like the most secretive thing in the world to get any info about them. As optimistic as we like to be, maybe things aren't going all that well, so this is why we don't hear??? We do know that Priester, Wingard and Gentry are not practicing as yet and the fall camp is moving along.
What they are doing as far as PR for the football program...ain't workin!
