Pete Thamel had some news you can use this morning. Apparently Texas State's current buyout doubles from $5 million to $10 million on July 1. Expect the PAC-R to give them a bid before then.
Memphis was the real target but faced a $22.5 million buyout. The PAC-R only offered $5 million to offset this - showing that they are indeed running low on dry powder.
Finally, as many of us have been predicting, the PAC-R media deal is coming in much lower than the members were led to believe. ESPN reporting it will be less than $10 million per year for each school - something I've been saying for months.
