But don't worry everyone, it's all ok.

It's 4 days short of a month since they strangely announced that negotiations commenced. And in that time we have had a Board of Trustees meeting. This should have been signed, sealed and delivered a while ago.

Oh, and don't forget at that BoT meeting it became official that the A-A renovation will be scaled back significantly. No grand entryway and no club area. They will "try" to do restrooms and concessions so that vendors can sell "hamburgers and chicken sandwiches." Oh, and construction will be ongoing THROUGH the 2015-2016 season. They have $17.2 million in the account for it and they're not going to raise any more to complete it as first envisioned.

And why would they? They need to go hell bent for leather to raise half of the $45 million for the fancy new football building. That's a lot of work to do.

Damnit. Why do I even care anymore? Here we are, finally, on the cusp of creating long-term, sustainable success in men's basketball and we can do nothing but step on our dicks. Thus it always was, thus it always will be...
