Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I was streaming the Montana State game and Adams did one of his typical- drive down the lane and dunk on three bewildered defenders. I showed the clip to my brother in law who is from out of state and he was amazed. "Is that kid black or half I mean?" he asked. It was innocent enough of a comment but kind of sad in a way. Amazing how our culture has generated that "white men can't jump" thing.
I know have even read comments in the youtube highlight films of Adams and its much of the same....... How can a white kid do that?
I dont know and really dont care, but he is one of the best guards this school has ever had and I really love the athleticism, and all the hard work he has put in to improve his game. He has come along ways from when he was a freshman forced to play because of an unfortunate incident at the Buckhorn. I sure hope Poke fans go down to the watch this guy in droves because I have a feeling this year is going to be something special.
