There’s been a lot of talk about coaching and the lack of landing impactful, top recruits. I think it’s blatantly obvious that we haven’t been able to recruit at a high level - I don’t think that’s inflammatory at all. But that issue isn’t exclusive to UW. Many other schools have this same problem. So what do these schools do to equalize the disparity in talent? They have a “gimmick” - the spread, the run n shoot, the option etc.

The reason I bring this up, is our current offensive philosophy only works if you have superior talent along the offensive line and at QB. So it doesn’t make since to continue to run this style when you don’t (consistently) have the horses to run it.

If we had a scheme that made up for the lack of talent on offense, while maintaining the current defensive prowess, I’d virtually guarantee we’d see more consistent success.

But, alas.....
