As of now the Cowboys only have one scholarship available for next year. Josh Adams will be the only senior. The Cowboys are taking a shot at a home run with that one scholarship. They can have visits with recruits right now for a week, and Larry and Jeremy Shyatt were in Orange County Calif., for a visit with Bryce Peters, a 6-3, 165 pound shooting guard who is ranked by recruiting evaluator Josh Gerson to be the second best shooting guard on the West Coast. He's a hard-nosed, nice shooting touch, defensive kid. He was headed to Arizona State but with the firing of Sendek that is no longer the case.

Gerson's scouting report: An athletic wing with a good frame, Peters has made pretty steady progress over the last couple of years and had a very good junior season. He's a natural scorer who plays very hard on both ends. Peters' best weapon is his pull-up jumper, something he can knock down from both
three and midrange, while he's also capable of attacking the basket and finishing above the rim.
It all starts for him on the defensive end, where his quick feet and motor help him stay in front of
his defender and pick off errant passes, leading to fastbreaks the other way. While he's a capable
passer, it's his attacking mentality and scoring ability that make you like him. His consistent
improvement makes you think he can keep upping his stock. Peters tends to hunt shots and turns
it over, but those things are fixable and he seems like a good kid and hard worker. He definitely
has high major shooting guard upside.
