I thought that Taylor was the hero tonight. You expect points out of JJ and Maldonado, but Taylor..... He played well, and I thought that the freshmen overall played well...not great but well. Watched the game on Stadium and the feed was very good, can't say much about the announcers, but oh well.
Frankly speaking, Grambling isn't that good. They played hard and the Pokes got up on them but were never really able to put them away. Grambling shot well, but the Pokes out rebounded them handily, I would be very surprised if the Pokes could do that when they get into conference play. I thought that Taylor actually played above a freshman level, he kept plays alive and has quick hands on the defensive end, and he made some nice passes...I was impressed with him. Doesn't mean that I have changed my opinion about this team but it was nice to get their first win tonight.
