Now that Wyoming has a native son as its coach, I think there definitely needs to be more outreach statewide for the hoops program. For instance, I am not sure why they stopped doing the Cowboy Shootout in Casper at the Ford Event Center. I thought it was an excellent opportunity for the Casper fans to watch a Mens and Womens game without having to drive down the 487 in the winter.
Sunny needs to also take the team to his native Gillette and have an open scrimmage against a South Dakota State. Maybe an open scrimmage against Utah Valley or Utah or somebody in Evanston. Or a Montana school in Sheridan. But more events around the state so the far reaches of the state can develop a bond with Sunny and the players. And of course, an NIL fundraiser along with each event.
