I went back and took a look at the different recruiting classes that Coach Shyatt and his staff have put together (not including Mueller from 2016 because he hasn't stepped on campus as yet), Shyatt and his staff have signed 25 players and out of that 25 players, 6 have transferred out early under Shyatt. I don't really look at numbers of other schools and see how many have transferred, so I am not making any comment as to if this is a high number or regular number as far as other schools are concerned. But I do feel that Shyatt and his staff have to do a better job of bringing in big's that are not such long projects and produce earlier, other schools in the MWC do it, why can't we? Of the 6 that have left early, 3 were big's. Of the 25 signees, 11 I would classify as Big's (6-8 or bigger), and of those 11, 3 (Ajayi, Haldorson & Williams) left early, 2 had good careers (Nance & Cooke), 1 (Sellers) never really saw the court, and 5 (Herndon, Barnes, Dalton, Moemeka & Naughton) the jury is still out on. I think that it is safe to say that this years Big's were virtually non-existent and that Shyatt's track record with big's is anything but impressive, and if there is any part of the Wyoming program that needs the most improvement, it is the Big's.
