Those who knew Andrew “Moose” Marosok from Sheridan, Wy., will be sad to hear that he passed into the Lords loving arms this morning at 2 a.m. I was fortunate enough to talk and even laugh with him last night before he left us. Moose referred football and basketball for 50+ years. He was a fixture at State and Regional tournaments all over the state of Wyoming. He was a member of the Wyoming Referees Hall of Fame. Some may also know him from his umpiring of American Legion games for many years. He is the reason I got into refereeing and I had the good fortune of refereeing some games with him when I lived in Sheridan.
The referee world and beyond has lost another good man whose mark he left behind will be forever remembered. RIP my and many peoples good friend. I’ll miss you.
