Aside from the vast economic devastation, mental illness concerns, kids getting screwed over on their education, isolation of elders from their families and countless other people losing their jobs, homes and life savings, maybe endless lockdowns, endless restrictions/closures of businesses and schools, face diapers and following the dots at the supermarket doesn't seem like a bad way to handle this..... it kept us from getting the flu.
It doesn't seem to do much for stopping Covid, but the flu? Very effective it seems.
Gosh, maybe this could be a blueprint to protect us from other nasty risks out there--y'know to keep us safe.

CDC reports record-low positive flu tests
As coronavirus cases surge nationwide, the flu has seen a remarkable dip. Reported cases of influenza reached record lows last week, with fewer than 40 diagnoses recorded during Dec. 13-19.
