The Wyoming football team had to feel good about Wisconsin defensive end Javaree Jackson after his visit to UW on December 2nd.
The 6-foot-5, 260-pound defensive end from Wauwatosa West High School in Wisconsin said, while he wasn’t officially committed to Wyoming, his commitment was stronger after the Laramie visit.
Today, Jackson changed his status from committed to Wyoming but not committed to committed. Jackson announced his commitment this morning via twitter before telling GWG the reasons for his verbal.
“I committed now because I felt like that would be a good home for me to be after high school,” Jackson said. “I called coach (Brent) Vigen and his reaction was like he was very happy that I made this decision.”
Jackson holds a scholarship to Wyoming and is also talking to UW-OshKosh, North Dakota State, Western Illinois and others. He has already visited North Dakota State.
