COLORADO SPRINGS (Feb. 18, 2021) – The Wyoming Cowboys and New Mexico Lobos close their two game set on Friday evening at 7 p.m. in Clune Arena in Colorado Springs. Wyoming to the opener in overtime on Wednesday by a score of 83-74. The contest will be televised on CBS Sports Network.



Fans can listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The contest will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Reece Monaco will have the call with Kevin McKinney on color.



Notes From Opener

Wyoming had six players score in double-figures on Wednesday evening with four starters reaching double-figures. It was the most players in double-figures in a game this season.



Wyoming was led in scoring by freshman Marcus Williams with 17 points and a team-high five assists. Sophomore Kwane Marble II recorded his first career double-double with 12 points and career-high 12 rebounds Junior Hunter Maldonado with 11 points for his 14th game in double-figures this season and the 53rd of his career, as he also added eight rebounds and four assists. Junior Hunter Thompson added 14 points for his first double-figure scoring game the conference opener. Junior Drake Jeffries added 10 points for back-to-back games in double-figures. Freshman Xavier DuSell added 14 points for UW for his 10th game in double-figures this season.



The Cowboys hit 13 threes on Wednesday and have hit 10 or more in a game in eight of their last nine games.



In three games inside Clune Arena this season, Wyoming has 39 three pointers.



The Pokes moved to 2-0 this season in overtime after Wednesday’s win. The Cowboys defeated Incarnate Word during non-conference play.



New Mexico was led by Makauch Maluach with 17 points and 12 rebounds.



About The Series

Wyoming trails the all-time series against the Lobos 69-75 in a series that dates back to 1950. The Pokes will be looking for their first sweep in a season since 2003.



Up Next

Wyoming welcomes the San Jose State Spartans to the Arena-Auditorium next Thursday for the first of two contests. The opener on Thursday is set for a 7 p.m. start on the Mountain West Network.
