Cowboys Host Tennessee State on Sunday Afternoon
Pokes to sign autographs following game
LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 9 2024) – The Wyoming Cowboys return to the floor on Sunday hosting Tennessee State for a 2 p.m. contest in the Arena-Auditorium. It marks the second game of the Sundance Wicks era, as Wyoming opened the campaign with a win against Concordia, St. Paul on Monday. Cowboy players will be available for autographs down on the floor following the contest against the Tigers.

The contest will be streamed on the Mountain West Network. Fans can watch, listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Keith Kelly will be on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.
About The Teams
Wyoming heads into the contest with a 1-0 record after downing Concordia, St. Paul 108-85 on Monday evening in the Arena-Auditorium. The Pokes shot 54 percent from the field in the contest and held CSP to 39 percent. Wyoming also held an impressive 53-33 advantage on the glass and score an impressive 78 points in the paint for the night. The Pokes shot 69 percent from the field in the second half and were shooting 81 percent inside the arc.
Tennessee State is 1-1 on the young season after taking Colorado State to overtime on Friday falling in the end 87-79. TSU earned a 96-66 win over Fisk in the season opener on Monday. The Tigers average 87.5 points per game and allow 76.5 per night. TSU is shooting 49.2 percent from the field and holding opponents to 40.6 percent. An excellent team on the glass, Tennessee State averages 48 per game for the young season. TSU was picked to finish fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference.
About The Players
Wyoming had six players score in double-figures in the opener. The Pokes were led in scoring by Obi Agbim with 25 points on the night. He also added six assists for the Cowboys. Center Scottie Ebube added 19 points on 9-of-12 shooting. Cole Henry added 12 points and five rebounds. Jordan Nesbitt added 11 points and a career-high 16 rebounds in the contest with eight on each end of the floor. Kobe Newton added 11 points with a career-high four two-point baskets, as he had three all last season. Touko Tainamo added 10 points for the Cowboys off the bench.
Tennessee State is led by Ronald Jessamy at 16.5 points per game. He also leads the team with eight rebounds per game. He is shooting 68.4 percent from the field. Carlous Williams adds 15 points per night and 6.5 rebounds. Justus Jackson leads the team with six assists per game.
About The Series
The Cowboys and Tigers have met once before with Wyoming defeating Tennessee State 109-56 in the Arena-Auditorium on Dec. 17, 2003.
