LARAMIE, Wyo. (Oct. 7, 2015) – Head coach Larry Shyatt is inviting fans to get to know the new faces on the University of Wyoming men’s basketball team. The Cowboys will host an intersquad scrimmage open to the public on Oct. 17 from 11:30 a.m. MT to 1 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium. That is prior to UW’s football game against Nevada at 2 p.m. in War Memorial Stadium.

Many fans remember the Pokes winning the Mountain West tournament last spring, but five of those Cowboys graduated and just one starter and seven letterwinners returned this fall. Wyoming started team practices last Friday with a roster that features six freshmen and six sophomores. Two juniors and just one senior, Josh Adams, round out the 15 Cowboys this season.

Wyoming opens the season on Nov. 7 with an exhibition game against For Lewis in the Arena-Auditorium, as the Cowboys will unveil their championship banner in a special pregame ceremony. Fans can purchase season tickets by calling the Wyoming Athletics Ticket Office at 877-WYO-FAN1 (877-996-3261) or going online at GoWYO.com.
