LARAMIE, Wyo. (Jan. 14, 2021) – The Wyoming Cowboys head south to Colorado Springs to take on the Air Force Falcons on Saturday in the series opener, as the contest slated for a 2 p.m. start can be seen on the Mountain West Network. It will mark the Pokes’ third game in six days.
Fans can watch and listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The contest will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Reece Monaco will have the call with Kevin McKinney on color.

Wyoming is 7-4 overall and 3-4 in conference play after dropping a pair of home contest to MW front runner Boise State. Wyoming leads the conference in three-pointers made this season with 106, as that number also ranks No. 46 in the nation. Wyoming averages 9.4 threes per game to rank third in the conference. The Pokes also lead the conference at 10.2 turnovers per game, which ranks No. 13 in the nation. Wyoming ranks second in the conference scoring 78.9 points per game.
Air Force heads into the game with a 3-7 overall record and a 1-5 mark in conference play. The Falcons average 57.7 points per game for the season and allows 70.2 points per night. Air Force is shooting 45 percent from the field and are shooting 34 percent from behind the arc. Opponents are shooting 47 percent from the field. The Falcons average 16 turnovers per game for the season.

Wyoming is led in scoring by freshman guard Marcus Williams at 17 points per game. He has scored in double-figures in every contest this season and ranks fifth in the MW in scoring. Junior Hunter Maldonado adds 14.4 points per game to rank No. 12 in the MW. He leads the teams and ranks eighth in the conference at 6.5 rebounds per game. He is also third in the MW in assists at 5.4 per game. Sophomore guard Kenny Foster adds 10 points per game for the Pokes.
Air Force is led by AJ Walker at 13.9 points per game to go along with 3.7 rebounds and has a team-high 2.7 assists per game. Chris Joyce adds 12.7 points per game for the season and adds 2.7 rebounds per game. Keaton Van Soelen adds 8.2 points per night and 3.6 rebounds. Nikc Jackson adds a team high 4.4 rebounds per game for the season.

Wyoming leads the all-time series against the Falcons 79-40 in a series that dates back to 1958. Wyoming is 33-22 on the road against the Falcons including a 78-72 win last season on Feb. 22.
