Does anyone know anything about the recent changes to WYO Vision/MW Network? Sorry if I missed this being discussed previously.
They did have an archive of games that had been streamed (specifically thinking basketball here, so games that were on the MW Network or were not otherwise televised were archived on MW Network). Those are all gone now and there is nothing from the last two seasons although there are archives from previous seasons (10-11 through 12-13, mostly audio but some video) and many are labeled premium.
Have there been recent contractual changes to the MWC media rights? I don't mind paying a premium to watch streamed content. Well worth it, in my opinion, but it would be sad to lose the last two years of archives. Also concerned about availability moving forward. It was fantastic the last two years to have streaming access to nearly every UW game one way or the other (Root and MWN games were available on WYO Vision/MW Network and ESPN games on WatchESPN/ESPN3). The only exceptions were road games that fell outside of the MW media contract but most of those of those had separate streaming options either through their conferences ESPN contract or though other options (BigSky TV, etc.).
I would hate to go backwards and not have that content available. Especially to have the access to watch the archived game the next day or something similar. Between work travel and two young children, my schedule doesn't always allow me to watch the game at the broadcast time. Having the ability to watch it later that night after the kids are in bed or after I am back in the hotel after a business dinner has been incredible for me.
