I know a lot of folks will make snarky remarks like “no Vigen” or something. But seriously, what element would you most like to see.
I’d like to see us incorporate a better use of tight ends as a receiving threat. I really feel like Hollister opened things up for Josh in a way that took an additional defender away from the LOS, and gave another target. Given that it’s usually a LB covering them, it would help to negate the speedier secondary players that come out of CA and dominate the West division and Boise rosters. I also think it helps in the RPO and when a play breaks down to create wider lanes on the edges. Lastly, and I might get caught sneaking in a second wish here, but it would make for a more effective screen passing game.
Any one of those items individually would make a nice improvement but collectively might have won us 3 more games last season.
