...A Pokes win tonight and tomorrow likely knocks Utah St. from the NCAA tourney (getting beat by 9-23 when you're considered last four-in sure won't help). Should SDSU get past Boise, you get a chance to deny the Aztecs a #1 seed (getting beat by 10-23 doesn't look too good), and probably make them travel. In four days you could: Deny the rival, settle up with a team that beat you twice, crush another school's dream, and inconvenience SDSU. For a Cowboy fan, this kind of payback on four teams would be incredibly satisfying, and would rank as one of the biggest stories in Poke history. Burman cited "substantial improvement" or such, as a criteria for AE. Getting into the NCAA's and doing it in that way...
...Just sayin' this: Should we be fortunate and win this thing, the AD will have to offer a one year extension to AE. Doesn't mean AE will take it. Half the fan base will rip the AD's head off if he doesn't, half the fanbase will if he does. Don't discount the role of emotion at UW and how people love an underdog.
