According to this ranking site, Power Digits. They have a pretty unique take and algorithm for determining how teams are ranked. They start by assigning no value to any team until they have played, so for example you wouldn’t have Iowa State still in the top 25 after struggling to UNI and getting beaten badly by Iowa. If we stayed undefeated I doubt we would stay in the top 10 as it does give more credit to beating P5 teams than G5, but still cool to have us listed in any ranking ahead of Bama.
gotta love these guys that take the time to come up with some of these creative algorithms, but you have to wonder, do they really think that they will take off? And is it really worth the time?
