Evidently Bohl hasn't let this sink in....he appears to think that the same things that worked at Nebraska, i.e. pounding offense will work in Laramie. Only if we could recruit the type of players that Nebraska gets could we play that same offense. It is interesting to note that even Nebraska has been forced to go away from the pound it out offense and had to open things up more. Our most successful offenses at Wyoming I would argue over time were ones with creative passing games backed up with an effective running game.

We are told that Bohl is all aware of this, but he seems incapable to being willing to make wholesale changes to make our passing game effective.
Illinois was 30-40-0 through the air, while we were 5-20-1, pathetic performance through the air.

Illinois had 81 total plays while we had 51 total plays.
This game was not just a thrashing, it was an utter beat down. Evidently the REAL lesson of this loss is not accepted by Wyoming's HC. Your system is not working, period, and hasn't on the offensive side for years now. For someone that says he gets it and understands it and knows what they need to do to correct it, our HC is remarkably incapable of having the team's performance meet his rhetoric. We have to have an offense that can best utilize the talents that we are able to recruit to Laramie, not what they recruit to Lincoln.
