Women beat Chadron State 81-53. Chadron State came out strong, and the Cowgirls started off slow in the first quarter which ended in an 18-18 tie. Cowgirls seemed flat-footed and held the ball too long. Adjustments were made and the Cowgirls started pulling away in the second quarter. Kelley had a double double with 12 rebounds. On one, she came flying high out of nowhere with perfect timing for the rebound grab. It looked amazing. Lots of shooters on this team, something I'm not used to seeing the past few years. Snodgrass surprised me with 12 points, all 3-pointers I believe. Gomez had 14. Roberts 13, and Dent 10. Dent missed some shots early but did very well on defense. I like the new quarter format with the zero foul counts at the beginning of each quarter. Game ended in about 2 hours.
