Cowboys Host UNLV in Regular Season Finale on Saturday

Contest Televised on CBS Sports Network

The Wyoming Cowboys wrap up the regular season on Saturday evening at 9 p.m. hosting UNLV in the Arena-Auditorium. The first meeting between the two schools this season will be televised on CBS Sports Network.

Fans can listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The contest will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Reece Monaco will have the call with Kevin McKinney on color.



About The Teams

Wyoming heads into the contest with a 12-10 overall record and a 6-9 mark in conference games after falling at Utah State by a score of 72-59 on Thursday. Wyoming leads the conference in three pointers made this season with 218, which ranks No. 27 in the country. Wyoming is hitting 9.9 threes per game, which ranks No. 15 in the nation. Wyoming has 302 assists this season, as Wyoming adds helpers on 54 percent of their baskets.



The Runnin’ Rebels head into Saturday’s contest with a 11-13 overall record and an 8-9 mark in conference play. UNLV fell to conference leader San Diego State on Wednesday by a score of 71-62. UNLV is averaging 69.7 points per game and are allowing 67.3 points per night. The Runnin’ Rebels are shooting 44 percent from the field, while holding the opposition to 41 percent.



About The Players

The Cowboys are led in scoring by freshman Marcus Williams at 15.4 points per game for ninth in the conference. He also ranks second on the team with 4.1 assists per game. He has scored in double-figures in 19 games this season. Junior Hunter Maldonado adds 12.3 points per game and leads the team with 6.7 rebounds per game, which is seventh in the conference. He also leads the Pokes in assists with 100 on the season for 4.6 per game to rank third in the conference. Sophomore Kwane Marble II adds 10.2 points per game for the season and is shooting 48 percent from the field.



UNLV is led in scoring by one of the top scorers in the conference in Bryce Hamilton at 18 points per game. He also adds 6.1 rebounds per game and is second on the team with 65 assists on the season. David Jenkins, Jr. adds 15.1 points per game and 2.5 assists. He is shooting 42 percent from behind the arc on the season with a team-high 68 makes this season.



About The Series

Wyoming trails in the all-time series against UNLV, 41-18 in a series that dates back to 1966. The Cowboys holds a 15-11 record against the Runnin’ Rebels in Laramie, but UNLV has won two-straight in the Arena-Auditorium.
