I was standing very close behind the AFA bench when a AFA assistant began waving his arms in a get down motion that sent a sprinting AFA player sprawling on the field in convulsions on that fateful day the Howdy Doody incident occurred.
The player from AFA was assisted to the sidelines where he gleefully laughed with his teammates no longer in pain (magically was healed upon entering the sideline) as AFA totally faked out the Wyoming defense to score late in the game to win without using their last timeout.
Maybe it is time to do something to make it less likely another Howdy Doody situation occurs.
