82 teams will play in bowl games next year thanks to the 3 more bowl games being added to the schedule for the 2015-16 season. That is asinine and the equivalent of giving 15th placed trophies and participation ribbons to young college men that shouldn't need patted on the head like a boy scout participating in the pine wood derby. With more bowls even more teams might not even have a winning year in some cases like UCLA in 2011 who finished the year 6-7 and were rewarded with a bowl.
In my honest opinion any team, Wyoming included, should not be allowed in a bowl game unless they have won at least 7 games, meaning that even if they lose their bowl game, the team is still guaranteed a winning record. For some odd reason the NCAA does not care about something as meaningless as the teams being any good in their bowl games. It is pretty clear that integrity and competition are meaningless to the money grubbing NCAA even though universities often lose money sending their squad to the irrelevant Lysol Toilet Bowl or the Johnson and Johnson Hemorrhoid Relief Cream Bowl. Seems to me, as long as the NCAA makes money from sponsors they really do not care about anything else.
