of the season thus far and it's not because we lost to Utah St. but because of how we lost to a team I can honestly say I didn't know in 2005 that they were D-1 when Wyoming played them. Since Utah State joined the Mtn West, we've gotten truck-loaded. Tonight I thought our Offense looked good considering we started a Freshman QB, I can see progress there but Defense was atrocious. I do think we got some freshmen that can be good, there's some good signs there (e.g. Wingard, Granderson, etc.).
Add on the fact that Utah State has a lower FB budget than Wyoming (as pointed out by Cup), but somehow they've got a good team and program that is sustaining itself for success. Is it coaching? Recruiting? What gives them this mojo? It is down-right unacceptable to have a loss like this especially when you can pin that loss on the D. Only one stop all night.
Wyoming has to turn a corner and maybe that means Coach Bohl takes a serious look at his staff, especially the DC.
Go Pokes!
