Today we're starting what will be one of the most memorable months we've seen in Wyoming basketball. People seem to want to be given an NCAA bid. Think how much more fun and exciting it would be to earn a bid. College basketball is great because every team controls its own destiny in March. Even Wyoming. Here are the reasons we get over the hump this year:
Experience: We start 4 Seniors and one Junior. These guys have played together in a lot of games.
Depth: We can go 8-9 deep without giving anything up.
Nance: He's a go to player that can score at will against any team in the conference, while playing elite defense.
Health: With Nance on the mend we are the healthiest we've been going down the stretch since we last made the tournament.
Will to win: This team is 10-2 in games decided by10 points or less.
I'm tired of the "selection committee is going to screw us" crap. We're going to break down the door, make it to the tournament, and win some games! The selection committee might not think we have the best resume, but I guarantee there isn't a team in the MWC that wants to play us right now.
