Substantial improvement is not getting more than doubled up by South Carolina - a team we beat last year. Losing by 34 and only scoring 32 is embarrassing. Grade school girls teams score 32 points in a game for heaven's sake.

The football loss was a gut punch because we have hopes and dreams of greatness that are at least seemingly tangible. Basketball losses just don't sting anymore. I am numb to them and just don't care. Give me a holler when this merry band of clowns that are supposed to be coaching up our kids are gone and TB and the athletics department are ready to invest in men's basketball again. Until they are, I'm not investing another cent or any emotion in the program. I was willing to wait and see - and even a competitive half would have caused me to do just that. What a damned mess - but, hey, AE is right - we did have those 20 win seasons a couple of years back and remember we were injured and that cumulative GPA is pretty amazing (not bagging on good grades - I guess I just expect them, but what do I know?).

Finally, contrary to your hopes, Tommie B., Hunter isn't going to be able to be the savior that you thought he might be - try as he might. Kid is a gamer, but the fact that you hung your hopes on the return of a single kid is concerning.
