Sources: The NCAA Division I Council decided today that fall sport student-athletes can compete in any amount of competitions this year and it will not count as a season of eligibility. This still needs to be approved by NCAA Board
Since it says “this year”......So the Seniors playing football in the fall can play again next fall if they choose? This could mean they aren’t confident many games will actually be played in the fall. But it should state any Seniors playing in Spring 2021 should retain eligibility for a full fall season. I guess it remains to be seen what "this year" and "fall sports" means. This academic year which includes fall/winter. Or with football being a "fall sport" even if played in the spring it doesnt matter for next season?
But nothing surprises me from the NCAA!!
