If I was Burman, I would have fired AE mid-season just to get a jump on hiring someone else and to prove that this program will not tolerate mediocrity. But I have to admit regardless of the results of the game against the Utags, I am starting to second guess myself. And not because of Allen Edwards. He lost me years ago when he played Justin James sparingly and let Gorski brick away.
The reason I am having second thoughts is that I have grown to like these kids. I want to see what freshmen Kwane Marble, Kenny Foster and sophomore Hunter Maldonado can do in a few years. But I am afraid we are guaranteed to lose 2 of the 3 if not all of them if AE leaves. I have enjoyed watching them come together in these last few games and it will be sad to see them go.
Regardless, attendance, no rebounding, in game decisions and especially questionable recruiting will be Edward's undoing. He should be fired, but there will some regrets.
