It's the final football game of the season with UNLV coming to town for a noon kickoff.
In addition, at 6 p.m., that evening the men's basketball team is hosting Montana State. The game time has been moved up an hour from it's original scheduled start of 7 p.m.
I know it's the Saturday after Thanksgiving but there are a few other perks:
1. There is a combo ticket package available starting at $35 for both games.
2. Brian Hill is in position to set the school's single-season rushing record that day.
3. It's a chance to recognize the eight football seniors, and give them a sign of appreciation for their determination to be a Cowboy.
4. The Pepsi Pregame Zone will be own between games in the IPF and will feature a band, plus grub and beer sales as well as the blowup games for kids.
Can the Cowboys outdraw the bowl-hopeful Rams with their Big 12 ambitions in the final home game of the season? They announced 15,461 and word was they had 12,000 show up.
They like to belittle our fan support, but more often than not it puts them to shame.
Can't think of a better way to end the football season than to have 20,000 at the War, thanking these young men for the effort they put into laying a foundation for future gridiron greatness.
