FYI, Bob's wife of 43 years passed away recently. I am sure many of you at least know of Bob. Great human being. Was a big time athlete in high school in Laramie. Had basketball and football scholarships. Was planning to go to Wyoming. His father died when he was in high school. Bob felt he needed to take care of his mother and sister. Instead of taking the scholarship he took a job as a typesetter at the Broomerrang. They had one-man sports staff and the fellow who was the sports guy had some problems with his liquid intake. As a result Bob would often take his break so that he could go to the Laramie High athletic events and cover them for the paper. Then he would go back to the back shop and get the paper out. He eventually became the sports editor of the paper, but with the new ownership he was forced out. He's had a tough couple of years. But he remains a big time Wyoming fan, a wonderful friend and a VERY good person.
He is going through a very tough time right now. I finally got him to set up an email. If you know him and want to drop him a line, it is:
boomerbob4563@gmail.com
If you don't know him or don't want to drop him a line, no problem. I hope it is okay that I posted this. He is such a good person, and such a true Wyoming guy.
