Wyoming football went deep into the northwest to find potential speed in wide receiver Reow Jackson, a rangy 6-foot-3 playmaker listed at 193 pounds. Jackson looks to add a possible big play threat to the Pokes receiving group in the future, if he ends up at the skilled spot.
Jackson plays basketball and both sides of the ball in football, as a quarterback and safety, and shows the ability to make big plays on both sides for Marist Catholic High School.
Playing in the shadows of the big time college atmosphere of Autzen Stadium on the Oregon campus, Jackson has a feel for good college football. Used an offseason to develop his athleticism to the next level after a few injury struggles.
"He is bigger, stronger, and more confident," said coach Frank Geske. "He is a playmaker at quarterback and good one there. He can play multiple positions."
Likely a receiver prospect, though he's an athlete that could be looked at different positions. Is quarterback an option in the future? May not know until he gets to the UW campus and shows his capabilities.
He was first team all-league offense and defense as a junior and earned a spot on the second team all-state list for his work in the secondary.
Jackson visited Laramie last weekend of Nov. 25th and committed to Wyoming on Friday.
