Pokes in the Pros: Week 5

LARAMIE, Wyoming (10/8/24) – The Jacksonville Jaguars got off the schneid this past weekend, edging Indianapolis, 37-34. Chad Muma had one of his better games in the victory.
The former University of Wyoming linebacker made five tackles. For the season, Muma has recorded 23 tackles for 1-4 Jacksonville. The Jaguars play Chicago in London in Week 6.
Below is a list of the other former Wyoming student-athletes and how they did in Week 5.

Logan Wilson, Cincinnati Bengals
Wilson keeps producing at a high level, however, the Bengals lost another close one, falling at home to Baltimore, 41-38, on Sunday. He finished with nine tackles.
For the season, Wilson boasts 52 tackles, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble and one quarterback hit this season for 1-4 Cincinnati. His number of tackles ranks in a tie for fourth in the league.
The Bengals travel to the New York Giants for Week 6’s Sunday Night Football.

Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Allen had his worst game of the season Sunday in the Bills’ 23-20 loss at Houston. He went 9-for-30 for 131 yards and one touchdown, while adding four carries spanning 54 yards.
For the season, Allen is 79-for-131 for 945 yards and eight touchdowns. He’s chipped in 160 yards on 26 carries with a pair of scores for the 3-2 Bills.
Buffalo travels to the New York Jets for Week 6’s Monday Night Football.

Carl Granderson, New Orleans Saints
Granderson had a nice game in the Saints’ 26-13 loss at Kansas City on Monday night. He racked up seven tackles.
For the season, Granderson owns 22 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and four quarterback hits for 2-3 New Orleans.
The Saints host Tampa Bay in Week 6.

Frank Crum, Denver Broncos
Crum was active for the third week in a row in Denver’s 34-18 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders – the Broncos’ third straight win. The majority of Crum’s snaps that he’s receiving are occurring on special teams for 3-2 Denver.
The Broncos host the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 6.

Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville Jaguars
Wingard did not play due to an injury in Jacksonville’s 37-34 win over Indianapolis on Sunday. He has yet to play this season.

Tashaun Gipson, Jacksonville Jaguars
Gipson did not play due to a suspension in Jacksonville’s 37-34 win over Indianapolis on Sunday. He has yet to play this season.

Treyton Welch, New Orleans Saints
Welch is currently participating on the Saints’ practice squad. He has yet to be elevated this season.

Marcus Epps, Las Vegas Raiders
Epps’ season came to an end in Week 3. He tore his ACL after a 10-tackle effort. Epps finished the season with 19 tackles and one tackle for loss.
