You can't blame Calabasas (Calif.) guard Jeremy Lieberman for wanting an extra set of eyes with him as he visited the University of Wyoming for the first time last week. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound point guard actually brought six other sets of eyes with him on the three-day visit and it would seem each set of eyes was impressed with what they saw.

"I brought the whole family and then I brought my mentor and trainer - he is part of the family too," Lieberman said. "I also brought my high school head coach, brother, sister, mom and dad. It was a great trip. It was a great opportunity. I didn't know what to expect going into it, but it was a first class trip."

Lieberman averaged 16 points, six assists and four rebounds per game last year for a 23-6 Calabasas High School. This summer he took his talents to the Double Pump Elite summer league team and offered GoWyoGo.com a scouting report on his basketball skills.

"If you leave me open, I am going to put it in," he said with a laugh. "I am great coming off a ball screen or off a down screen, I am good at getting into the lane and kicking out. Basically, you want to keep the ball out of my hands."

It would seem some college coaches agree. Lieberman has received scholarship offers from Wyoming and San Diego, while St. Mary's has stayed in touch and may also offer a scholarship shortly.

This week, Lieberman spent Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Laramie.

"I really didn't know anything about Laramie, Wyoming before the visit," he said. "I thought it was a really cool town. it is a college town and I liked that. It really revolves around the University."

Lieberman said he received a tour of the campus of the University of Wyoming, as well as a look at what life would be like playing basketball for Wyoming. He saw the dorms, apartments around Laramie and the basketball facilities.

"They showed me the arena, it was beautiful," he said. "It would be different my freshman year after they do the renovations to it too. I fell in love with the arena. A beautiful place to play and it is a cool dome."

Lieberman said he got some time with the coaching staff as well as the players. Lieberman said the next step is to go home, talk things over with his family and resume talking to the Wyoming coaches. Lieberman said the Wyoming coaches did let him know of the scholarships they had available. Lieberman said Wyoming was definitely in his top three and added he was likely to sign early.
