I’ve been pretty hard on BYU, Utah, Utah State, and the State of Utah in general.
This goes back to my days attending school at UW and living in SW Wyoming and putting up with the arrogance towards Wyoming usually portrayed by most things in Utah. I can’t say that I hated these schools, but strongly disliked them. I usually referred to Utah as “behind the Zion Curtain” and wasn’t very kind.
I had a bad health scare last week and if my wife hadn’t got me to Utah and under the care of some amazing doctors and nurses, I might not be here to cheer on my beloved Cowboys. The doctor that saved my life was a BYU graduate and a fine young man.
This doesn’t mean that my feelings for the about mentioned groups will be different, but I will definitely have more respect for them and my negativity towards them will not be so publically displayed.
My advise my fellow board members is that if you don’t feel good, get to the doctor and listen to your wife.
God bless you all.
