It’s fair to say that most Cowboy fans haven’t been very happy with the play calling and the overall performance of Coach Bohl’s ‘complicated’ offense recently.
I wonder how Iowa Fans feel about the Hawkeye Offense.
Here are some ‘offensive numbers’
… “in their last 9 games Iowa has scored 143 points, 66 by the offense and 77 by special teams and defense. Of those 11 offensive touchdowns, 1 was by forward pass, along with 8 interceptions.”
Iowa has scored more points via safeties than forward pass.
The Iowa QB rating against South Dakota State was 1.1. That is not a misprint.
Iowa punted from the South Dakota State 37 yd line.
Last week the Hawkeyes scored a FG and 2 safeties to beat the mighty Jack Rabbits 7-3.
Perhaps it’s not a coincidence that Coach Polasek left Iowa to become Coach Bohl’s OC. (BTW, I’m not dissing Coach Polasek, especially after his play calling against Tulsa).
I think it is probably fair to say that compared to Iowa, Coach Bohl’s offense is a scoring machine.
I just think it is kind of ironic that Coach Polasek left Iowa to become Coach Bohl’s OC.
When I was in the service and the weather was bad and the assignment difficult, my thought was “This might be hard but somebody, somewhere was worse off than I was.” (That is the family friendly version, actual language may vary.)
When it comes to offense one could make a strong case that ‘somebody is worse off than we are’.
I can only imagine what the posts are like on the Iowa board this week.
