1. Season is not over yet. I've seen teams rebound from worse.

2. Cowboys should get Nance, Jr. back and get into full mode by MW tournament time.

3. I think as Nashau posted down the board, when injury situation happens, there tends to be an adjustment period for a team with Nance's absence and Shyatt will get these guys back on track. Similar to last season, when I thought the Cowboys played well late with wins over CSU and a close loss to UNLV in MW. I think the same scenario can happen, only this time around, Nance will be a part of the equation after the Pokes getting back on solid ground. Didn't have that luxury last season.

4. Potential Blessing in Disguise: While Nance is out, it's going to force number of players to get out of their comfort zone and eventually perform to another level. Confidence grows when players need to react to this adversity. If Nance returns for stretch run, the Cowboys should be a stronger overall team before he went inactive. I also think a deeper, more confident bench, since players like Aka-Gorski, Lieberman, McNanamen, Herndon, and Barnes will see more minutes. The possibility of Nance returning, I can see this team becoming even stronger due to adversity.

5. The Cowboys with Nance, have been in first place in the MW until last night including wins over Boise State and sweep of CSU. Won three on the road. Meaning this UW team was good with him and his anticipated future return, means they can recapture that success in the most important stretch of the season.

6. Cowboy are only a 1/2 game out of first place with 6 to play. It was no accident UW was on top of the standings and I think it's still realistic hope it can be manufactured again.

7. Schedule break comes at a good time. The Cowboys have a very winnable San Jose State Saturday, then a struggling Nevada team on Tuesday and then an eight day break before hitting the final four games. Keep our fingers crossed, but about two and half weeks to get this ship back on track.

Since there has been a lot of half glass discussion. I thought I'd share a some half full outlook that I think are realistic points.
