So who on the current roster is going to take a big step forward next year?

Folks seem pretty down by yesterday's performance, but it really didn't bother me (any more than the sting of losing bothers me anytime). In the big picture of this program whether we won or lost yesterday doesn't really say much about where we're heading. We uncharacteristically shot horribly from 3, and that was the difference. That and the disruption in rhythm from the suspensions, and what I assume was a less aggressive defensive posture as we absolutely could not let anyone get in foul trouble.

I was really encouraged by Alan Herndon's play yesterday. He's my vote for the biggest improvement next year. I also have high hopes that James and Naughton will have breakout sophomore seasons and will be big-time players for the Cowboys by this time next year.

For all the dissecting of recruiting wins and losses over the last few years, and analysis of attrition that has occurred, there is definitely a sense of gloom about the Pokes right now. Not for me though. Someone asked who is the Nance or Adams on this year's squad...well, the great thing is, we don't know, but I bet there is at least one or two. Shyatt has demonstrated never to underestimate his ability to develop players.
