Wyoming Coach and former Nebraska Assistant Coach Craig Bohl has said he will be sure not to overlook the Cornhusker State where recruiting is concerned. Included in that group is 2015 Offensive Tackle, Adam Holtorf of Seward High School in Seward (Neb.).

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Holtorf has one early scholarship offer (South Dakota State), but is getting attention from Nebraska, Wisconsin and Oklahoma State among others. He said the Wyoming coaching staff has also been to Seward to look over his tape and Holtorf said he thinks they liked what they saw.

"(Offensive Line Coach Scott) Fuchs was out at school maybe a month ago," Holtorf said. "I have been receiving some mail and some emails from them since then. My coach said when Coach Fuchs was there they really liked my film, they liked my grades and everything. I got a Junior Day invite on email and one in the mail today. The date doesn't work because I am registered at another Junior Day. I am going to try to find another day to visit."

Holtorf admitted he didn't know much about the Wyoming program, but said he was aware of Bohl's reputation as well as some of the tradition surrounding the Wyoming program. While there has only been one scholarship offered thus far, he said he has a feeling others are on their way.

"Multiple schools have said there are good things to come," Holtorf said. "I would like to think that means scholarship offers coming."

Holtorf may be as close to a dream recruit as a college football coach will find. As a Junior he was named Second Team All-Nebraska, First Team All State, and Academic All-State in addition to playing basketball, running track and acting as the treasurer of his local FFA chapter. He is also ranked sixth in his class academically with a 4.0 grade point average.

While the academic accolades are impressive, it is his work on the football field that coaches are excited about.

"I think I sustain blocks well on offense," he said. "Defensively, I am just a tough, bring it every play, every snap mentality. I pride myself in work ethic and the intensity that I play on both side of the ball. I would like to think when guys are scouting me they are saying this guy won't quit."

Holtorf said growing up in Nebraska he was a Cornhusker fan, but added that didn't mean he was a lock for Coach Bo Pelini.

"When I was younger I was a Cornhusker fan, but this whole recruiting process has taken off and I have followed a lot of other schools too," Holtorf said. "I want to look into a lot of other schools. It is a decision that I don't know if I am ready to make at this point. I want to look around."
