Appears, best case scenario the Cowboys end up the #3 seed and play Fresno State. Win the next two (USU, @UNM) and have CSU lose one game to make the #3 seed.

Likely worst case, end up the fifth seed and play either CSU or Utah State. Which team would you prefer to open?

My guess is Fresno State would be the preferred matchup. Between USU and CSU, probably prefer to play the Aggies over the Rams. But a tough one to call. Cowboys have beat CSU twice this season and get a little restless trying to beat an unpredictable team like CSU three times in a season.

#3 seed would obviously be the best route. Opening with FSU in the first round and personally rather be on the opposite side of the bracket from Boise State. A second round matchup against SDSU over Boise State. Plus for those attending the tournament, always better to have a night quarterfinal game to have day to get geared versus one in the afternoon.

Plenty still to play for heading into the tournament. Cowboys win out, a good chance for #3 seed. I think they can do so, but need to kick it up a gear, get into more sync and play with that extra edge.

Cowboys win both remaining game
#3 seed, if USU beats CSU or CSU beats USU/loses to Nevada (Play FSU quarterfinals)
#4 seed, if CSU wins out by beating Nevada/USU (Play USU in quarterfinals)

Cowboys beat USU, lose to UNM
#5 seed, if USU Beats CSU. CSU beats Nevada (Play #4 CSU quarterfinals)
#4 seed, if CSU beats USU and Nevada (Play #5 USU quarterfinals)
#4 seed, If CSU beats USU, loses to Nevada (Play #5 USU quarterfinals)
#4 seed, if CSU loses to USU and Nevada (Play #5 CSU in quarterfinals)

Cowboys lose to USU, beat UNM
#4 seed: if USU beats CSU, CSU Loses to Nevada/USU (Play #5 CSU)
#5 seed, if USU beats CSU, CSU beats Nevada (Play #4 CSU)
#5 seed, if CSU beats USU and Nevada (Play #4 USU)

Cowboys lose both remaining games

#5 seed, if FSU loses to BSU Saturday (Likely play Saturday's CSU/USU Loser)
#6 seed, if FSU beats both AFA/BSU
