MSU at Bozeman is already paying Brent Vigen to stay on as head football coach. The Billings Gazette reports the four-year contract Vigen signed has a base salary of $210,437. But it includes incentives of some $145,000,, including a $35,000 yearly incentive for staying on at MSU. That yearly retention incentive increases by $5,000 a year.
Other incentives in his contract include $40,000 each for radio shows and TV appearances arranged by MSU. Vigen will also be paid $30,000 a year for being involved in MSU fundraising, social activities, booster functions, public speaking engagements and ticket sales campaigns.
