Five More Wyoming Football Games Selected for National TV Coverage
ESPN Adds Four Cowboy Games, and CBS Sports Network Selects One for TV Package
Colorado Springs,Colo. (April 28, 2015) -- Wyoming Football fans will be able to be see their Cowboys on national television a minimum of six times during the 2015 college football season. Five of UW’s Saturday games were selected by ESPN and CBS Sports Network on Tuesday for telecast during the upcoming season. Those five games combine with a Friday night road game at Utah State on Oct. 30 that was previously selected by ESPN2 to put the Cowboys on national television six weeks in a row from Oct. 10 through Nov. 14.
Included in the five Wyoming games selected for television on Tuesday were four games that will be carried by ESPN Networks and one game that will be televised by CBS Sports Network.
ESPN Networks will televise Wyoming’s road games at Air Force on Saturday, Oct. 10 and at Boise State on Oct. 24, as well as UW’s home games versus Nevada on Oct. 17 and versus Colorado State on Nov. 7.
CBS Sports Network will televise Wyoming’s road game at San Diego State on Nov. 14.
The joint announcement made by the Mountain West Conference, ESPN and CBS Sports Network on Tuesday includes a total of 33 Saturday television games. Combining those 33 games with the earlier announced 11 Thursday and Friday night selections, bring the total MW television games to 44 thus far.
CBS Sports Network is in its 10th season as the primary rights holder of Mountain West football. ESPN Networks are entering their third season back carrying Mountain West games.
Exact kick times and specific outlets for ESPN Network games will be determined during the regular season. Those announcements are generally made 12 days in advance of each game.
In the weeks to come, ROOT SPORTS and the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will be selecting additional MW football games for telecast.
